On 23 August, TRT held the Customs & Logistics Workshop at Taicang Enterprise Service Center.
With the deepening of global economic integration, the role of Free Trade Agreements(FTA) in the international trade of goods is becoming more and more important. In this workshop, we invited Ms. Zhu He, Panter of Beijing DHH (Suzhou) Law Firm, who shared two topics: the first topic was ’FTA Utilization and Origin Compliance in International Trade and Overseas Investment’, and Ms. Zhu He took RCEP as an entry point to introduce the specific substantive and procedural rules that need to be mastered in applying the FTA rules of origin in international trade of goods, which can help enterprises to reduce cost, and the need for enterprises to determine the strategic direction of the sea, to reduce international trade friction; the second theme for the ‘customs valuation of common difficulties and the recent trend of post-surveillance, combined with a number of cases on the four valuations of the difficult points to be shared.
In the modern logistics industry, risks are everywhere: from accidental damage during the transport of goods to the force majeure of natural disaster, from the loss of goods in the warehouse management to the policy risks in international logistics, how to effectively identify, avoid and transfer these risk, is the challenge that every logistics enterprises must face. In order to help the majority of logistics enterprises and practitioners to have a deeper understanding of the role of logistics insurance and risk management strategies, we also invited Mr. Liu Jiajia, a lawyer from Shaohe Low Firm, to share with us logistics insurance and risk management. It provides a systematic thinking framework and operational guidelines for customs officers in enterprises.
